Ikat is a pattern that is the result of resist dyeing, which allows for only certain areas of fabric to be colored during the dyeing process. This leaves a pattern that is very intricate in detail and design.

Ikat is a bold, powerful, and beautiful pattern that can be incorporated into your décor in a variety of ways. This pattern works really well in a room that features neutrals as the main color. When your walls, floors, and trim work range from white to shades of tan, you’re able to have more flexibility with accent colors. Red, pink, blue, and green all pair well with neutrals, so try adding either a combination of pink and red, or green and blue. Neutrals do a great job of balancing out the bold pattern.

This brings us to patio tables. Whether an outdoor dining table or end tables, we are seeing patio furniture, including seating, resemble your indoor furniture. Fabric is more durable, and the design of furniture is no longer plain and simple. Materials include wicker, teak, steel, aluminum, and also cast iron. Feel free to even mix and match your materials!

We are seeing an abundance of patterns and textures used in seat cushions, rugs, and umbrellas. This is an easy way to really bring life and energy to your patio area.
