Geometrics are taking over the interior design world, and while they have been incorporated into homes now for the last few years through the use of accent pieces, we are seeing more bold moves this year with the pattern.
Over the years we have seen geometrics on fabrics, such as throw pillows and curtains, as this is an easy way to incorporate the trend. Since these accessories are easy to swap out, it was and still remains a popular way to add this look to your home.
Not just used in area rugs, geometric tiles are quickly becoming a popular flooring choice for kitchens and bathrooms. Since these patterns can be intense, the smaller flooring layout in a bathroom allows these tiles to really pack a punch in a small amount of space. We are also seeing these tiles be used in backsplashes in kitchens and bathrooms, which can make a strong impact while also adding a touch of excitement in otherwise neutral spaces.
Not only is wallpaper currently a hot trend, but geometric wallpaper is also being incorporated in bathrooms. It creates a bold statement while also adding elegance and glam to your space. Since patterns on walls can be a lot to take in and sometimes be overwhelming, it’s common to see geometric wallpaper strictly in bathrooms, but it’s also being used as accent walls in living rooms and bedrooms.
Like pillows, rugs, and curtains, artwork is also a less permanent design move that can be switched out with the seasons or when you grow out of the look.
