One of our favorite trends this summer is the all-white look that is becoming increasingly popular in kitchens and bathrooms. Now that spring has passed and summer is officially upon us, people are making their homes look and feel less cluttered. While some associate white with feelings of hardness and cold, that is far from the truth when it’s used correctly in home design.
White is crisp, clean, and instantly makes any room feel brighter and look bigger. If you have a bathroom that feels cramped, consider an all-white color scheme to make the space feel refreshing and bigger, and in the kitchen, choose white walls, cabinetry, and counters for a classically clean space.
One recommendation that we do have is to avoid incorporating dark and oversized furniture to an all-white room, as it will take away from the look and feel that white décor adds to your space. Now that’s not to say that you can’t bring any color to the room, as we find that white rooms are great for incorporating artwork into. The colors in the artwork will pop, thanks to the white blank canvas they’re displayed upon.
There are hundreds of different shades of white that you can choose from, so if you’re wanting to add a bit more depth and character to your white room, try layering different shades of white for a cozy, warm feeling.
