Shades of blue are becoming increasingly popular in home décor this spring season. Blues are moody, soft, calming, and beautiful. Better yet, it is such a versatile color that you can find a shade that works in your home no matter your look, whether it modern, traditional, or even bohemian.

Hot this spring is cobalt and azure blue, shades that are rich, alluring, dramatic, and calming. Blue is dependable, so you can always count on the color pairing well with a multitude of color schemes. Cobalt blue looks great when paired with a juicy orange, creating a fun and carefree touch to your room, while azure blue pairs really beautifully with copper and sandy neutrals.

It's hard to believe that winter is almost out the door with spring's arrival this month, but with new seasons come new trends. One of spring's upcoming trends is bright, fun, and carefree, and we couldn't be more excited to start incorporating tropical inspiration into our homes!

What we love the most about the tropical theme is that it encompasses a handful of ways in which you can bring this trend into your space. Plants will be popular and diverse in their uses, so think large ferns in a corner or floral wallpaper. The addition of crocodiles, pineapples, and animal prints to your walls will be hot as well!

We know that some designers and home owners aren't into the craze of having animals or fruit on their walls or in accent pieces, but we are on board! For starters, it's unique and not going to be found in every home, and secondly, it creates a fun, uplifting, and lighthearted touch to your space. Designer Spotlight: Alessia Zanchi Loffredo

Coming to us from Northern Flooring and Interiors, her local IDG Showroom, is Alessia Zanchi Loffredo, one half of ReDesign Home, a collaborative interior design studio. Alessia, who is based out of the Chicago office, is joined by fellow founder, Sarah Coscarelli, who runs the metropolitan Detroit office.

ReDesign Home was started over 10 years ago when Alessia and Sarah were working together at a commercial/retail design firm and realized they shared the same goals and passion for owning their own studio.
