Sizzling Kitchen Trends You Need To Know About

It's no secret that the kitchen is a favorite room for most people, which also means that having a gorgeous and functioning kitchen is a top selling, and a top buying feature for homeowners and future homeowners.

Kitchens, as a result, are often one of the most remodeled and updated rooms in the home. With the uprise in kitchen renovations, most homeowners are focusing around the top trends of improved functionality and beauty. Not only must the kitchen have energy-efficient appliances, but the entire design of the space must be of pure beauty.

There is a large shift in customizing the space to add your own flair, such as adding oversized statement lighting, or bringing white to the space to really brighten up your home. Cabinets are not only being extended further towards the ceiling, but we are also seeing cabinets have glass doors, which allows you to showcase gorgeous dishware to your guests.

Also trending in kitchen design is the use of mixed materials, such as marble and metals, along with the switch from lower cabinets to drawers, due to added functionality.

The Updated Americana Style

When you think of the classic Americana style, your first visualization is most likely of a room bursting with red, white, and blue. You envision a portrait of a vintage American flag, or nautical striped pillows adorning a comfy couch, and while these ring true of an Americana themed room, there has been a shift to more of a rustic, vintage-inspired look and feel.

Less Is More

Crisp, neutral colors are now being paired with a pop or two of blue or red, along with vintage and traditional décor. By bringing a rustic look into an Americana room, a sense of charm and relaxation is created, giving you a less is more feel to your space. Instead of overwhelming a room with these colors, you're bringing them into your space in smaller doses.

Consistenza

Bringing the Americana feel to your home doesn't have to only be through décor. In fact, incorporating the style into your flooring is as easy as using refurbished hardwood, or carpet that has a vintage look to it.
