What adds instant warmth to your interiors, gives your space personality and character, and is trending in interior design? Reclaimed wood, that's what. Better yet, this hot trend is environmentally friendly, giving those old, beautiful wooden boards a new place to call their home.
While reclaimed wood is often used on furniture, a new use becoming increasingly popular is to use reclaimed wood on your front door, or any other door inside of your home. Choose a door that will be a focal point in your home, such as sliding barn doors leading from your kitchen to your dining room.
In your kitchen, give your island a makeover, and choose to have the base of the island made out of reclaimed wood, with the counter being granite or any other gorgeous stone. For your dining room, make or buy a dining room table made out of reclaimed wood. It will bring a warm and earthy feel to your space, making guests want to visit for a dinner party!

Reclaimed wood also looks beautiful as decorative beams, flooring, or simply as an accent piece that also doubles as a focal point in a room of your choice.
