Designer Spotlight: Tyler Wisler

Tyler Wisler, an international designer based out of New York, is taking the world by a storm. Tyler has been seen on HGTV’s “Design Star” as well as NBC’s “George to the Rescue.”  Tyler comes to us as an affiliate of Hallmark Floor Company, his local IDG showroom.

 
Tyler studied at the New York School of Interior Design and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Marymount University.

Tyler believes that, “Great design is what you make of it; what makes you happy.” His spaces incorporate a mix of both classic and contemporary lines, accompanied with a creative twist. His innovative techniques that create unique spaces have people excited for what will come next.

Add a Piece of Peach

Both feminine and refreshing is the color peach, a mix of fresh orange and pretty pink. Peach, which makes a room glow with happiness, can instantly add a sense of warmth to your space. Since peach is a subtle and softer shade of orange, this versatile color works in both large and small rooms, as the main color on your walls or as a secondary color found in your rooms decor.

For a classic style, pair greys and darker hues of blue with peach, while accents in crisp white should be used if you want to take a bold and simple approach in bringing a modern look to your interiors.

Any shade of orange is viewed as a powerful color, so to bring down any loudness that the color portrays, pair peachy orange with a sky blue for an added sense of relaxation. Peach pairs beautifully and perfectly with Greek blue, crisp white and sandy neutrals, so if you want to play it safe with neutrals and blues as your main colors of the room, include peach accents through the use of accent pillows, art and decor accessories.

If when decorating a room in your home you prefer to go all out and take a bold step, consider choosing blue and peach as your main colors of inspiration for your decor! Since blue and orange are complementary colors, they bring balance to your room, making both dark and light blues acceptable choices in your home design.

A Mix of the Neutrals

When you combine two calming neutrals such as warm grey and sandy beige, you get greige, a beautiful color that gives your room an organic and earthy feeling to it. If you want to continue with the neutral theme, adding several other shades of neutral colors will bring about an elegant aura to your space.

Bright Colors Pop

Bright colors will pop with a lighter greige, so sunny yellow, crisp green, and fuschia will look very sharp in a greige room!

LaFemme Pattern

Since greige incorporates two neutrals, it is a color that works great in any room or with most any color. On promotion until August 31st, 2015, La Femme, which comes in sixty varying tones of neutral and darker shades, allows you to decorate with greige no matter which tone of carpet that you choose from.
