With the new year upon us, now is a fabulous time to start planning and preparing for the updates and remodels that you want to make to your home for the year ahead. In 2015, color trends are predicted to be diverse, ranging from muted pastels, neutrals such as grey, brown and green, to marine tones, and bright, fruity colors. Neutrals never seem to go out of style, and these tones are best when you want to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Muted pastels are still in this year, as the sophisticated and basic hues are perfect for creating a calming tone to your room. While the soft shades promote relaxation in the space that they are incorporated, if your goal is to make an impact in your room with the use of pastels, consider adding a bright color to the space to really pack a punch.

Marine blue is in and here to stay, as this color’s versatility allows it to work well in any room that it is incorporated in. Vibrant blues are great when used on walls to bring energy and life into your space, and they are also fabulous when simply used in décor as accent pieces.
