Decorating With Bright Neon

One of the popular summer trends for 2014 are bright colors that will freshen up a room instantaneously with their eclectic feel and punch of color. In conjunction with bright colors are color blocking and geometric patterns, which are being used simultaneously. Not only are bright geometric colors fun and unusual, they create abstract decorative elements in your interiors.

Bright colors work great in a room when you pair the colors with neutrals, as the neutral colors allow the bright colors that you bring into your interior to stand out. If you have a monochromatic color palette, bring bright red into your space, as it will break up the color palette.

If you’re not ready to bring bright colors and shapes into your home just yet, bring a jolt of energy to your interiors with accessories and accent pieces.  Accents in bedding, pillows, artwork and accessories are great ways to bring a hint of bold color to your room if you’re not feeling adventurous enough to take the plunge head on.
