While there may be many reasons or occasions for layering rugs - solving spacial issues, creating contrasts, and/or quickly covering up a flooring imperfection - sometimes it's just plain fun! If you're in the mood for layering, here are three tips to help you make the best of it.
1. Reinforce: If you prefer the more simplistic designs, layer solid, lightly contrasting in color rugs to reinforce clean lines.
2. Draw: Have a little something special you'd like to highlight? Throw a vivid or brightly colored rug over a neutral toned floor directly under your prized piece. This will draw the eyes of guests to your object of affection.
3. Redefine: While layering rugs can define an area, it can also work to redefine one too. Create area "spill-over" or connect two spaces by layering one rug over another in a manner that allows the top rug to flow onto the original floor space - reaching far past the first layer.
These are gorgeous! I have almost forgotten layering of rugs to make it this wonderful.

I just called Dave and got some of the best cutomser service that I have ever received. The crazy part is that as l called from California, I am not even a cutomser. I told Dave right up-front that I was calling from out of state and that after seeing his video I had some questions about how to clean a wool shag rug and he still took the time to answer all of my questions. He was professional and extremely well informed. I would recommend Regal Fabric Care to anyone

I think the photos you chose for this post are golden! Layering rugs isn't a design element that comes to mind first but it really can have a nice effect on the look and feel of the room.
